11 cakes..

so far.. and its not even her first birthday, YET! haha I have said this before, I know we are spoiling her silly! I guess now that is turning one we'll put the monthly cake to a stop.. (unless we want eat some.. I am sure that is a good enough excuse to buy a whole cake right? hehe)

For the past few days I have been reminiscing on what I was doing one year ago today.. I had terrible back ache and was very eager to hold Dia in my arms.. 

Life for Anjai and I has certainly changed a lot since we had Dia.. But what we have 'Gained' is certainly more than what we have 'Lost'.. Change is inevitable, its up to us to accept it or otherwise... Both Anjai and I have embraced the change in our life and with Dia, I found passion and a greater appreciation of LIFE..

At One month she already showed everyone what she can do with her eyebrows.. (inherited from her Mummy?? LOL) 

At Two months she was drooling over the pink cake (has a sweet tooth like her mum??)

At Five months, she showed she was the boss!

At Six months, we taught her how to cut her cake

At Seven months, her Daddy turned 33..

At Eight months, she was surprised to see cakes in cartoon shapes

At Nine months, Dia was listening to everyone sing the birthday song..

At Ten months, she posed for the camera

At Eleven months, her Daddy tried to teach her how to blow her own cake! hehe

So at 12 months... We shall see what she does tomorrow.. hehehe

So how was everyone's weekend? Ours were.. tiring.. Friday afternoon Anjai felt that Dia was a bit warm so he gave her some paracetamol and in the evening her temp masih jua high until the next morning.. Despite the fact that we gave her paracetamol at every 4 hrs and kept on sponging her. So in the Morning we decided to take her to TK Chan.

The Dr sent us away with Antibiotics for redness in her throat and an advise that we should continue with our paracetamol regime. So we did and by 5pm that afternoon still did not subside and we were getting worried. Anjai decided we should take Dia to A&E Tutong.

Told the Dr we were very worried about her temp and requested for a rectal paracetamol to be given and they did. So we went home and continued on with the Antibiotics, Paracetamol and constant sponging. By the next morning her temp still did not subside staying above 38c at all times! So we decided to take her to the A&E again.

When the Dr asked me what was wrong I told him about the temperature. His reaction was a smile on his face and then he said 'You should not be worried about the temperature'. I could feel my blood biol and I felt like smacking his balding head! How could he say that to a worried mom? We have heard stories about babies who had very high fever and it lead to a disablement.. How can i not be worried?? Id*ot! We again requested for rectal paracetamol and refused admission.

He temp subsided by 10am so we were very happy however at 7pm that night it came back! Arghhh.. We continued on with the meds and sponging throughout the whole night. When i went to work her temp was at 37.8 and at 11 my SIL reported that her temp was 36.7.. I hope it stays low.. huhu

And how are the parents u ask? Very sleepy and very tired.. In the midst of sponging last night I fell asleep and spilled some water on my phones huhu and now one of them is a bit wonkyyy! huhuI spent an hour trying to fix it and when I thought it was fixed I went back to sleep then rupanya inda jua baik.. huhu Aku puasaaa bah.. I cannot buy a new phonee.. huhuhu *frustration*

Good thing Dia is still active.. hehe she was walking around here and there!

Speaking of walking, Dia currently refuses to walk on her own and insists that we hold her hand. We don't know why she is suddenly scared of walking on her own but many suspect maybe she had a fall.. I pray that Dia will get over her fear..

Quick Birthday shout out to Muhamad Darwish Adlan! Happy first birthday awisshh.. We'll see you tomorrow night Insyallah and prepare to be tickled.. hehehehe Kisses from Uncle Jai, Babu BB and Dia!!

Alhamdulillah our board meeting is now over! and Alhamdulillah I went through my presentation.. well.. I THINK! I breezed through it and throughout the whole presentation according to my colleague I had a smirk on my face! haha I didn't realise I had a smirk. In my defense I was smiling and I was nervousss!! And what made me even more nervous was the fact that the two top guns was smiling wah during my presentation.. Rupanya they smiled cause the thought my name was funny and complicated! haha Remind me to thank my parents for giving me such a long and complicated name.. NOT! I would like to share my experience with them tho cause this is not the first time ppl think that about my name hahaha

I had lunch with a Friend just now who is expecting.. and she asked me re the items to buy for the new bundle of joy and when is the prefect time to buy. Look at my list babe! haha And as for when, we only started buying when I was 6 months along.. Unless there is a sale on then balii saja tiaa.. haha Oh I would recommend that you do a survey both in Brunei and online.. hehe Oh and she also asked what is the most important thing to buy and my answer, for me, would be BREASTPUMP!! hehe I did a lot of research, asked a lot of questions to friends and finally decide on the Medela Freestyle. It turns out to be the most useful and most frequently used item I ever bought. haha and I cannot thank H enough for recommending the FS to me! hehehe

I mentioned in the previous post that I have been expressing and leaving my EBMs at the office. Well today I shall bring it home.. hehe I did a quick count and I have about 50oz! So thats an average of 10oz per day.. Ok lah tu.. breakeven! better then making a loss right? hehehe

Ok its almost 5 and time to shut down down my PC and go home.. Its nice to go leave at 5 for a change! hahaha

Board Day Today!

Olaa peeps! Sorry for the lack of updates.. Been a bit preoccupied with Board week.. Bored week as TC says but I gotta tell u.. It is anything but boring.. Its crazy, hectic and we are no longer surprised by the degree of changes that can happen. haha I will be doing my very first presentation to the Board of Directors this afternoon. wish me luck and I hope I rocked the presentation later! hehe

EBM updates, with work being a bit hectic I have been expressing and leaving my EBMs at the office freezer and the top part of the freezer looks to be almost full now.. Hehe Will need to bring my big cooler box tomorrow so i can transport it back home. Oh note to self, take a pic of the freezer! haha There has been good and not so bad days. On one occasion i was able to express 14oz and on a not so bad day i am able to reach 9oz so that's ok. I think my in-consistent intake of Fenugreek pills contributes to the not so consistent production as wel.. and of course work related stresss..

Maid updates! My maid FINALLY arrived last night. From the news that i got from home this morning Dia is her usual self. 'Jual Mahal' to the new maid. so hopefully she'll adapt faster this time round. Hopefully this maid works out okay. Amin!

I was looking at the date this morning and realized my Dia will turn 1 in 9 days time! *woot woot* and it got me reminiscing on what i was doing this time, 1 year ago.. haha I was having back ache and if i recall correctly very eager to hold Dia in my arms. I will need to read posts from a year ago to refresh my memory.. haha

Ok i'm off now.. and Wish me luck! pray that I will rock the presentation and that I am able to answer all questions thrown my way..

Puasa

I have been suffering severe headache since Monday afternoon and i went to see the Doctor this morning. Was told to rest and given 1 day MC. Funny thing tho, the Dr asked me where i work and when e found out it was in the private sector he smiled and tole me to rest. haha Guess the stress got the best of me! *sigh*

On a positive note, I managed to express 9oz in one sitting this morning!  A feat that i have not been able to accomplish in months and months! Syukur Alhamdulillah. I hope and i pray pray pray that my production level increases. Amin Amin.

On another (funny) note. The hubs told me tadi that he wanted to buy a new wallet and i told him 'how many wallets do u need. your current one is still in good condition' and then he gave me a look and said 'My opinion of my wallets is the same as your opinion as your bags!' I cracked up so bad!! haha Well my dear, 2010 is my puasa year which means no new bags (i.e. bags that cost over a certain price range) and also no gadgets. I have gone 3 months without tempting to buy a new bag. But the temptation of buying a new gadget is another story lah ah! Lets hope i can tahan till the end of the year.. haha Puasa Puasa Puasa! unless of course it was given to me, then i shall accept it with open arms! hahahaha

20mins routine

Congratulations to my pregnant friends!! Siok jua kamu pregnant beramai-ramai ani.. Kinda reminds me of when I was preggy 1yr+ ago.. My pregnant buddies and I would share our experiences, some funny ones, and now we share our not only BFing experiences but also other experience like what sort of med works better. hehehe

So to my pregnant friends, take good care of yourself but jangan jua luan paranoid. Enjoy your pregnancy and remember not all pregnancies are the same. Oh and jangan malu-malu bertanya.. I always find asking people (even the silliest question) very useful and helpful. hehehe

Oh I have to thank some of readers who approach me and suggest things for me to try. I really do appreciate it! Oh sama kan I like it tu when you tell me that you read my blog pasalnya kan most of the time, like 90% of the time, I feel like I am just blabbing bahh! Banar! hahaha Oh in that case i also better apologize in case I offend anyone.. Sorry ah! Inda kami sengaja tu! Banar!

Speaking of BFing, I have been on my 20min routine for about a week now and I see no signs of improvement *sigh* But I am keeping positive and blaming disappointing outcome on work related stress and the fact that I haven't been sleeping well lately. Hopefully production level will improve soon. *amin amin*

My little darling now has 3 teeth, 1 fully emerged and 2 partially visible. 2 on the bottom and 1 on top and what she has been doing lately is grind her teeth together!! *yikes* and I have also suffered the biting! *double yikes* I hope she understands me when I tell her not to.. She also has a habit of copying what Anjai and I say. I had a good laugh watching her imitating her Daddy last night! hahaha So we need to becareful from now on cause they say babies are like sponges. they absorb everythingg..

Ok I am being very very random. Back to work then..

Armadillo

Ola peepss! How are you? It was super duper crazy yesterday at the office and I only got back home at 8.15 last night. 45 mins after i came home Dia was already alseep! But Alhamdulillah tasks were completed and our meeting went fine this morning.

My brother found an armadillo and we had him as a pet for 2 days before it got away.. although it doesn't do much it was fun to see how he reacts to things.. hehe I kept on poking it and watch it curl up into a ball haha

We headed to KB on Sunday to attend a birthday party for Dia's first cousin, Dariwsy. This is Dia's third birthday party in Feb!
