30th Ramadhan

Alhamdulillah i just had the last Sahur for this year. One more day and we shall celebrate hari raya..

This ramadhan has taught me among others that i should be thankful for whatever that Allah has given me.

One of the essence of ramadhan is that we are asked to fast from sunrise to sunset to remind ourselves and to step into the less fortunate's shoes. And the donation drives opened my eyes a little wider, see a bit further than my normal horizon. I am very thankful and grateful for the opportunity that my teams, both in BGC and SCM has given me and i will cherish the humbling experience and memory forever and i hope and pray that i never loose track again and to always give back to the needy. We have a few more drives planned towards the end of the year and i can't wait..!

Yesterday i received fantastic news that i passed my first two CIPS paper that i sat back in May. As i was celebrating i received news that one of my colleagues just lost his father. This has reminded me that di dalam kegembiraan mesti ada seseorang yg di timpa kemalangan or kesedihan.. Al-fatihah and my deepest condolences to my friend and may Allah give you and your family the strength and courage to face the difficult times ahead. And may Allah grant your late father Jannah.

Back to my exam results, i was over the moon and insyallah one more module and i shall complete my diploma! Woot woot! I'll start studying after the hari raya celebrations.. I promise! LoL

Humbling experience

Last week my SCM colleagues and I decided that we will do a donation drive so we decided to each buy food items and then send them to families that needs them. We decided to visit 3 houses but come thursday we had so many items we decided to visit additional houses.

Due to time constraints we managed to visit 4 houses only, 2 being in Panaga, 1 in Seria and 1 in Lumut. I have to say among all the last house in Lumut was the one that impacted me a lot.

As you can see the house is in dire state. It is made of zinc and it houses 9 people.. They did not have any water supply and i am not sure how they get their electricity from.

I pray that this family gets the help that they need cause for me no one should be living like this. They are getting the media attention over the weekend and i pray that the relevant authorities will do what is necessary..

This was us moving the items in the house..

26th Ramadhan

Alhamdulillah we are on the 26th day in the holy month of Ramadhan.. As part of our annual ramadhan ritual we went to visit my late grandmother's cemetery this afternoon and we decided to bring the girls along.

Halfway through the Yassin, my eyes welled up thinking about my grandmother. How i wished she was still around cause i am sure she will enjoy spending time with my girls. I remembered how i used to hold her hand whenever i would visit her. Its been 11years since she passed away and i remember how i massage her feet in her last days.. Al-fatihah and may Allah grant her Jannah..
